Batteries Final
So the conclusion of the casting assignment came out to be a hanger. I ended up casting and hanging over 75 ipods, 9V, AA, and AAA batteries with stripped out copper wiring. you can see from the images that i did a sort of wrapping of the batteries for a cool look. I hung them all and entertwined them making a complete mess of things.
The idea was to look at the plaster batteries and sence a coldness and almost death of the suggested energy and ipods. Ipod being an instantly recognizable object in my model i wish i would have done a lot more or a lot less. Because i introduced the ipod however it felt as though i needed to introduce more gizmos and gadgets to really complete the piece. I did however like the way i portrayed a sort of dependence between the batteries and the ipod and felt like i was successful in conveying that concept.
